It's ok Bible Study

So last night we were looking for pictures of happy and sad in Julie's Bible study book. We finally found a little child crying and I asked Julie "What do you think happened?" She reaches over and starts stroking the picture saying "It's ok Bible Study" :-)
She repeated it again tonight. We were trying so hard to get her to look at the picture and tell us what she thinks just happened, and all she says is "It's ok Bible Study, it's ok"

Belle's Amazing Memory

We were cooking dinner the other night and Belle kept leaning over the stove, so I kept having to remind her that she was going to catch her dress on fire. She looks at me and says "Mommy, remember when I dropped my gingerbread man into the stove and he melted and I bruised my arm trying to save him? It was the blue one!"
About 2 1/2 years ago (when Belle was just about 2, maybe slightly over, but I was still in my early pregnancy with Jules), she dropped her blue candyland gingerbread man onto the gas stove and it melted his arm off. and she did bruise her arm trying to rescue him.
That darn candy land game has been packed away for well over a year, so I don't have a clue how she could have even remembered that one!

Potatoes with Yips

So to get Belle to eat a baked potato years ago, Chris sliced it down the middle and smooshed it and told her it was "Potato Lips"
Of course, Belle couldn't say the /L/ sound, so she has called them Potato Yips ever since.
Tonight she asked what we were having for dinner and I said burgers and baked potatoes with Yips, to which she replies "/L/ /L/ Lips Mommy" :-)

What's Julie's temperature?

Every time we pull the thermometer out lately Julie announces that she's $8!

Eagles

We were on the way to our first ever day of skiing with Belle when from the back of the truck we hear her talking about Eagles. Did you know that when it's time for a baby eagle to learn how to fly it's mother pushes it out of the next and lets it fall far down to the ground? And did you know that the dad eagle flies down and catches the baby just in time? . Then, quietly, we hear, I wonder if the daddies miss sometimes?

Excuse Me...round 2

Tonight we were laying in bed with Juliana and she tooted. Chris asked her what do we say when we toot? To which she replies strongly "Darn it!"

Ha-Teet-tas

We ate fajitas for dinner this week and ever since, Julie has been talking about having hateetas for dinner :)
