So, I was feeding Derek some sweet potatoes when he kept trying to suck his thumb every time I'd go to put his spoon in his mouth. So, I started talking in my Elmo voice to get him to stop doing it...
"Derek, get your thumb out of your mouth! Don't eat your thumb! Elmo doesn't want you to eat your thumb and go your whole life without a thumb!" Etc, etc, etc.
Belle of course chimes in "We'll just have to take him to the hostiple"
Elmo replies "Where do you think thumbs come from? Do you think they grow on trees?"
"They do"
"Well, I've never seen one. Have you ever seen a thumb tree?"
"Yes"
"Where? Do you have a thumb tree in your back yard?"
"No"
"Then where did you see one?"
To which Belle casually replies "Tendy (twenty) miles back!"
